Engineering consulting services for 150 Kip Pipe Tensioner System upgrade. GLOBALTECH provided upgrade requirements, hydraulic power unit (HPU) upgrade and control system recommendations.

The Hercules features electric reel and tensioner drives. GLOBALTECH provided software consulting, engineering consulting and various field services for the full integrated Control System. System sea trial was completed in a very short time.
Phase II
Provided complete technical specification that included detailed algorithms for further programming of the Hercules Reel Pipe Tensioner Control System. Conducted a detailed review of specified components in the mechanical system and made recommendations for improvements.

Lead a team to upgrade and install 300 kip Pipe Lay System for DB16. The system included 3/ upgraded 100 Kip pipe tensioners, 3 upgraded Hydraulic Power  Units (HPU), automated lineup stations and digital control system. GLOBALTECH was specifically responsible for design, procurement, assembly, programming, installation, startup and commissioning of the Pipe Lay & Lineup Stations control systems.
Phase II
GLOBALTECH integrated and calibrated the mechanical, hydraulic and control elements to allow automatic control of the DB16 Pipe Lay Control System while the vessel is in Dynamic Position (DB) operation mode. The integrated system featured dual processors with seamless crossover and a redundant network.
